Jenna Jameson is doing her best to get Charlize Theron naked for PETA. As the face of the PETA Pleather Yourself campaign, she is hoping to get the Oscar winning actress to take part in something similar. Charlize is really hot and all, but I'm not sure why Jenna has such a fixation on getting her involved. The former porn star said, "It would be amazing if Charlize did one of our 'Go naked' campaigns. I saw her just the other day and she just blew me away." Jenna, I think pretty much all straight men of the world agree with you (and probably even a high percentage of gay men and straight women too). That doesn't mean it's going to happen. Not all women are as adept at taking their clothes off as you! http://www.mtv.co.uk/channel/mtvuk/news/19032008/410057/jenna_jameson_wants_charlize_theron_naked Jenna Jameson is doing her best to get Charlize Theron naked for PETA. Who's greener, Ryan Seacrest, or Simon Cowell? These two are ready to duke it out over which of them is a more environmentally friendly person. Unfortunately it looks like they're both on the losing side of the battle. Ryan mentioned on his radio show that he saw Simon cruising around Hollywood in an environmentally unfriendly, $1million Bugatti sports car. And Ryan's modes of transportation are even worse, if you can believe that! Simon was mad that Ryan took a low blow. The next day he fought back saying, "Any chance for a shot at me and you'll take it, right Ryan!" And then he pointed out that Ryan owns two Hummers and a Lamborghini. Yikes, those are some serious gas guzzling vehicles. Neither of these men are even close to doing the world any favors with their choice of vehicles. Why did they start this stupid argument? Maybe both should start riding their bikes to the American Idol set every day. Then we'll start talking about who's greener.

This is taking recycling to a new extreme. Cremating a pet isn't enough these days, now you can turn your beloved furry friend's ashes into diamonds. Of course, Kimora Lee Simmons thinks this is a fantastic idea. And I'm pretty sure it's not because she's all about being green and recycling a dead dog. I think she just wants more bling. Her 18 year old pet, Zoe, just died. To find out what she plans to do with her, keep reading. This is taking recycling to a new extreme. Jessica Biel was spotted out in Hollywood the other day carrying a tote with a very subtle statement -- I'm Not A Plastic Bag. Aside from being a stylish item, coveted by A-listers all around the world, this bag is a part of a message of change. It was designed by Anya Hindmarch for the We Are What We Do organization. While I have no idea whether Jessica bought the back because she supports the movement, or whether she's just using it because it was given to her for free (this tote was part of the Oscar swag handout in 2007), seeing her has given us the opportunity to talk about a good cause. Zap, who's been making small electric vehicles for quite a while now, is finally setting its sights on a highway-capable EV for the US market. And unlike all other highway capable EVs currently being manufactured, Zap's Alias is actually priced for normal consumers at about $30,000. Unfortunately the Alias had to make some sacrifices to keep costs down...including one of it's wheels. That's right, it's a three wheeler, allowing Zap to keep it regulated as a motorcycle, which means crash tests won't be necessary. So far, there have been few insights as to how the vehicle will be powered, and what kind of amenities will be found inside. But we do know that it'll be a two-seater, and the lithium ion batteries should push the vehicle from zero-to-sixty time in less than six seconds. The only other detail we have...Zap is hoping to have the vehicle for sale in the US by Q2 2009. You can reserve yours right now for $5000 at ZapWorld.com Via AutoBlogGreen

Tom Konrad, Ph.D. is an Investment Analyst at AltEnergyStocks.com, a provider of high-quality, original research into alternative energy, renewable energy, and clean technology companies. This is a guest article cross-posted from Carectomy.com. When I first read about the motorboard on Carectomy, it offered a solution to a problem I'd been thinking about for some time. I often need to go downtown (about a mile and a half) from my office, and I usually need to be well dressed when I do so. Since downtown is only a 3 mile round trip, my preferred method (if I have time) is to simply walk the distance. Walking takes care of my exercise for the day and can also be quite pleasant and relaxing. Unfortunately, I don't always have time to walk, biking can be impractical in dress clothes, and driving and using a parking meter usually involves rushing out at the end of a 2 hour meeting to avoid getting a ticket (and often saves little time due to the hunt for a parking spot.) Taking the bus does not save time for such a short distance, since the bus I would use only runs every half hour during the day. The motorboard seemed an excellent compromise which would not get me sweaty in summer months (since it's electric) and the upright stance meant that my slacks are in little danger. Like a bike, I could take the motorboard with me on a bus if I had to go far, although folding it up and carrying it with me would be simpler than loading and unloading the bike from the rack in front of the bus. That was the plan. Here's what happened:

69 MPG VW Golf TDI Hybrid Threatens Prius?
It looks like someone is finally threatening Toyota's hybrid mileage supremacy. Well, that is, unless you count the Honda Insight...which no one seems to. VW has gone ahead and approved its Jetta diesel hybrid concept, hoping to turn the car into a legitimate Prius competitor. The car will likely be roomier and zippier than the Prius, both advantages coming from its use of diesel instead of gasoline. Diesel, which contains more energy per gallon and also produces less CO2, can improve mileage significantly on its own. Adding a hybrid component to the car really moves up mileage numbers. Unfortunately, diesels require advanced and expensive engines to keep pollutant emissions low. VW already charges $2,000 extra for its diesel models. Add onto that the cost of regenerative braking and a hybrid drive train and suddenly this car is looking out of range. While the Prius manages to come in at a reasonable $25,000, it's likely that the Golf TDI is going to break $30k while being the sort of car people are used to paying a lot less for. Of course, there are no real numbers on price yet, but AutoBlogGreen has speculated that this high price is going to keep the cars confined to Europe, where emissions standards are higher and people are used to paying for diesels, at least for the first few years of the TDI hybrid's life. All-Electric 700 HP Lightning GT
.jpg) Here's a sweet little new electric number from the UK for you automotive fans. It's the Lightning GT -- which has motors in the wheels and makes use of regenerative braking -- and you'll need to be over in the United Kingdom for now if you'd like to get yourself one. The Lightning GT reportedly does 0-60 in four seconds and has 700+ rated bhp. This car, to get where it needs to go, uses "electronically controlled traction control which negates wheel spin and unbalance in the power being applied." The vehicle has no engine, instead offering drivers a "maintenance-free" engine with a few parts, control electronics, and special batteries. The batteries are obviously the heart of the Lightning GT. The company says these batteries use "nano titanate materials instead of graphite which makes them far more thermally stable" and have a life expectancy of over 12 years. Charging time is said to be 10 minutes and the power delivered per unit weight and unit volume is "several times that of conventional Lithium-Ion batteries." Also a factor in the design of these vehicle is "Hi-Pa Drive." It is described as "compact, energy-efficient, electric wheel motors" that "produce unrivalled levels of torque with internal heavy-duty tapered roller bearings that can withstand heavy radial loads for robust use." Iqua Sun solar powered bluetooth headset
Those Earth Day ripples are still spreading as green gadgets continue to be all the rage. Unlike other Bluetooth headsets, this one's not very stylish. However, the Iqua Sun wireless Bluetooth headset is the *first* solar powered headset that can be charged both indoors and out. So if the thought of never using an electrical power source to charge your portable earpiece again appeals to you then this would be perfect.

Awash in orange plastic prescription bottles
I am a friend of Big Pharma. For me, it's a friendship based on necessity, akin to how some Sicilians feel about the mafia. This friendship means every month I throw away at least two plastic bottles that can't be recycled. I hear a few of you saying, "Wait, Sea! You can use these bottles for beds, buttons, toothpicks and maracas!" But I already have a home for my beads. My earrings are in a recycled tea tin; my spices are in recycled spice jars. And I don't want to make maracas! So what the devil am I to do with these little orange bottles? Make a pyramid?! Be a P.R.O. I'm not sure if Jacob Willard is still doing his P.R.O. program, but it's worth looking into if you live in West Virginia. In 2005 Willard started a community service project called P.R.O. or the prescription bottle recycling operation. Apparently, a local clinic cleans and reuses the bottles that Willard collects. Anyone can send him bottles. I pray you don't send him anything else. Thank you. Call Pharm-Ecological ServicesIf you happen to live in British Columbia, you might have a better chance for recycling your prescription bottles. Pharm-Ecological is a company that takes all kinds of pharmacological plastic packaging and recycles it. Will they take your personal stuff? Send them an email and ask. Ask your pharmacist pretty please with sugar on topYou could be more adult about the question, but it adds up to the same: Find out if your pharmacist will let you reuse your bottles after you've cleaned them and removed the labels. Chain pharmacies I called weren't hip to the idea, but locally owned pharmacies sometimes are. Each pharmacy typically has one lead pharmacist. Talk to that person. Bark and meow it
On other blogs I've seen posts that stated veterinarians and animal shelters sometimes accept used but clean prescription bottles. I can't verify this, and my own vet certainly would not do such a thing, no ma'am. But I laud the suggestion. Make a Christmas Tree ornament
This idea scares me. Perhaps you'll love it. Call your legislator
This is my favorite suggestion. It may result in absolutely nothing, but if you don't call you can't complain and if you don't complain who else besides your office mate will hear your whining? You'll go to your grave being known as the man who never stopped nattering on about the lack of recycling for prescription bottles.
