Cultural Jamming is a fascinating process of taking media (sometimes that already exist), turning them on themselves and rejecting the notion of the citizen as merely consumer, and the idea of society as merely a marketplace. Grassroots artists and organizations often devise witty new media blips that mock their own media.
We at Greensense Media advocate that the culture-jam is a way of life and believe that it doesn’t necessarily have to be some sort of radical propaganda. In fact, any small piece of media mockery could be counted as a cultural jam.
Greensense Media offers the new generation of media savvy individuals: platforms and ideas, to incorporate culture-jamming methods as strategies for self-empowerment, to embrace self-publishing in all forms such as self made magazines/books/videos, techno music done by teenagers in bedrooms, personal web site production/blogs, mobile wallpapers, and mobile ringtones, saying t-shirts, fashion as wearable "billboard" alteration and other forms of popular media resistance to the mainstream can reside under the broad banner of media innovation.
